As 2015 wraps up, we’re seeing increasing examples of some of our trend predictions materializing.

More and more, major retailers are going down the path of creating their very own mobile payments platforms. Two of the biggest examples as of late include Wal Mart and Target. This doesn’t come as a surprise, as this approach allows retailers to have full control over their customers’ journey to ensure that their customers receive a consistent brand experience from end to end.

In 2016, we can expect to see more retailers following suit as a branded app, which is fully loaded with key features like mobile payments and loyalty, will continue to be a hit.
